Aya Panteleymon Russian Orthodox Church
Aya Panteleymon Russian Orthodox Church is a Russian Orthodox Church found on Büyükada Island and represents the multicultural history of the region. Constructed in the latter part of the 19th century for the purpose of serving the Russian Orthodox community and visitors to the site, the church has a simple but elegant architecture with icons that are characteristic of Orthodox churches. The church is surrounded by tranquil gardens and is currently a place of active worship.
