Aya Yorgi Greek Orthodox Church
The Church of St. George, better known as Aya Yorgi Greek Orthodox Church, is the religious heart of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and is among the most significant Greek Orthodox Churches in the world. The Church of St. George is located in Fener, a historic area of Istanbul, where the church has been functioning as the Patriarchal Cathedral from the beginning of the 17th century. The interior of the church includes various icons, wooden iconostasis, and religious relics.
