Santa Maria Draperis Church
The Santa Maria Draperis Church is an example of one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches in Istanbul. Situated off İstiklal Avenue in the Beyoğlu District, the church has had a rich history dating back to the 16th century when it was founded by the Franciscan Order. Reconstructed multiple times due to fires and earthquakes, the present-day church dates back to the 18th century. The beautiful baroque interior design and courtyard provide an oasis in the midst of the bustling city life.
