Trajan Fountain
The Fountain of Trajan was one of the grandest public fountains in ancient Ephesus. Built in the early 2nd century AD to honor the Roman Emperor Trajan, the monument featured a two-story façade decorated with Corinthian columns, statues, and reliefs. Water flowed into a large basin beneath a statue of the emperor, symbolizing Rome’s power and prosperity. Today, its impressive ruins remain a highlight of Ephesus, showcasing the city's advanced engineering and monumental Roman architecture.
