The Blue Mosque, or mostly known by locals as Sultan Ahmed Mosque, is a stunning symbol of Istanbul’s Ottoman heritage. Famous for its six minarets and thousands of blue Iznik tiles, it stands proudly in Sultanahmet Square, facing Hagia Sophia.
