Brighton Beach
About Brighton Beach
The history of Anzac would be incomplete without Brighton Beach, near Anzac Cove on Gallipoli Peninsula, was named by Anzac troops after the famous beach in Australia.
The beach was among the first targets for the Allied Forces during the beachheads in Gallipoli Campaign. It commands impressive vistas of the Aegean Sea and its surroundings.
The stretch of sand also has numerous memorials and statues that commemorate the heroes of the Gallipoli Campaign.
Though quiet today, it holds echoes of war beneath its waves and sand.
With views of the rugged coast, Brighton Beach stands as a subtle yet meaningful link to Anzac history and homeland memory.
