Cavusin Village

About Cavusin Village

Cavusin Village is a small, historic settlement in Cappadocia, located between Avanos and Goreme.

Known for its dramatic rock-cut dwellings and abandoned Greek houses, the village sits beneath a towering cliff riddled with caves. One of its main landmarks is the Church of St. John the Baptist, one of the oldest cave churches in the region.

Today, Cavusin offers a peaceful atmosphere, panoramic views of surrounding valleys, and insight into the area's early Christian and local heritage.
