Laodicea Stadium
About Laodicea Stadium
Laodicea Stadium, built in the Roman period, was a massive structure used for athletic games, public events, and imperial ceremonies.
Located just outside the city walls, it stretched over 280 meters, making it one of the largest stadiums in Asia Minor.
With its elongated U-shape and tiered seating, it reflected the Roman commitment to sport and civic entertainment.
Though worn by time, the stadium’s remains still echo the cheers of ancient crowds and the spirit of competition.
