Located in Ephesus, Temple of Artemis was undoubtedly an ancient wonder.
Having been completed in 550 BC and listed among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, this place had primarily been famous for its magnificent structure and intricately crafted sculptures.
Built in grand Ionic style, it honored Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and fertility. It was an important center of prayer and pilgrimage dedicated to Artemis, the Greek goddess of fertility and hunt.
Though only a single column remains today, it once featured over 120 marble pillars and attracted pilgrims from across the ancient world.
Its legacy still draws visitors who come to witness the site’s powerful silence and imagine its former magnificence among myths and marble.
