Anatolian Fortress

Anatolian Castle, called Anadolu Hisari in Turkish, is a small medieval fortress on the Asian side of Istanbul, located where Goksu River meets Bosphorus.

Built in the late 14th century by Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I, it served as a strategic point during the siege of Constantinople.

The fortress is surrounded by high stone walls and towers, reflecting early Ottoman military architecture.

It faces Rumeli Hisari, built later on the European side.
