Aphrodisias Archaeological Site
Aphrodisias Archaeological Site, located in Western Turkey was a major Greco Roman city which worshipped Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
Her marble remains include the sprawling stadium, theater, baths, and stunning Tetrapylon gates.
The city was also praised for its sculptures, artisitically carved out of stone and now on display in the museum located on site.
Glancing over Aphrodisias takes one to a time when art, faith, and civic admiration carved ancient cities from stones.
