Cendere Roman Bridge

Constructed in the 2nd century AD in commemoration of Emperor Septimius Severus, the Cendere Roman Bridge or Severan Bridge is located in Adiyaman, near Kahta.

The bridge is still one of the oldest Roman bridges in operation today, spanning the Cendere Stream.

Its single-arch structure is a hallmark of adept Roman engineering, and the three columns that still stand tell a silent story of imperial politics.

This stone bridge lies in proximity to Mount Nemrut and serves as a conduit for witnessing the might and craftsmanship of the ancient Roman civilization.
