Hatay Archaeology Museum
Antakya’s Hatay Archeology Museum is one of the most important in Turkey due to its immense collection of Roman mosaics.
Its rich collection encompasses a span of history ranging from the paleolithic to the ottoman, including the ancient mosaics of daphne and seleucia pieria.
Notable portions include detailed floor mosaics depicting statues from Hellenistic period alongside masterfully crafted figurative sculpture mosaics from Isles of Samothrace.
A modern styled building incorporated ancient artistry, telling the visitors the endless story of the region.
