Keshlik Monastery
One of the most ancient rock-cut structures of Byzantine period, Keshlik Monastery is located in Cappadocia.
Carved into soft tuff stone, it includes a church, chapel, refectory, and monks’ quarters, many with preserved Byzantine frescoes. The site served as a spiritual refuge during the early Christian period and offers a peaceful, lesser-known alternative to more crowded landmarks.
Hidden among trees and hills, Keshlik reflects Cappadocia’s rich religious past in serene seclusion.
