Letoon Ancient City
Located next to Xanthos, Letoon Ancient City is known as the spiritual capital of Lycia.
It was founded in the seventh century BCE. Letoon, Apollo and Artemis, which worshipped Leto, has a Hellenistic theater, three temples, and incorporates deep tri-lingual culture of Lycian, Greek and Persian civilizations.
Letoon was mythologically worshipped while being encircled by by springs and pools filled with water.
Today it can be appreciated as an ancient spot for Letoonian faith giving tranquil routes of exploration.
It is classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.
