Sagalassos Ancient City

Sagalassos Ancient City in Burdur, is situated in the Taurus mountains, and was an important Pisidian-Roman city.

It is made up of well-preserved remnants of grand structures such as the Antonine and Hadrian Nymphaea, Roman Column Theatre, baths, and as well as an agora.

It has great views, and the natural beauty of the surroundings combines wonderfully with the historical significance of it as a city.

The ongoing excavations have given insights into daily life, and even preserved art and imperial residences.

Sagalassos is one of Türkiye’s most well-preserved ancient cities, and allows opportunities for archaeologists and tourists to explore.
