Salt Lake

Tuz Golu or Salt Lake is located in the central part of Anatolia, lying between the cities of Ankara, Konya, and Aksaray.

It is the second largest lake in Turkey, as well as one of the saltiest lakes in the entire world. It has a shallow covering of water during summers, revealing shimmering white salt crusts beneath it forming blinding surreal landscapes that appear mirror-like.

The otherworldly nature has made visiting it a dream for photographers and pure bliss to savor for avid nature enthusiasts.  

Flamingos and locals are drawn to these places as unique wildlife inhabit here along with supporting tourism. There are even people who enjoy walking on its surface barefoot as part of their visit ritual to savor peaceful moments while cherishing the timeless views around them.

The high level of salinity along with flat horizons make Tuz Golu amazing spots for captures from nature lovers and salts are also harvested by local inhabitants around the lake .
