Shrapnel Valley

In World War I, Shrapnel Valley, near Anzac Cove on Gallipoli Peninsula, was a vital supply and communication route for Anzac troops.

Shrapnel Valley was an indispensable channel through which supplies were obtained and communication pathways secured by the allied forces.

It gets its name from the heavy bombardment of shrapnel upon the troops.

The valley indeed has a dark history and is now one of the memorial places, leaving a message of great sacrifice of those soldiers to the visiting tourists.
