Thyatira Ancient City
Thyatira, now part of Akhisar, was a significant city of Lydia and it is known as one of the Seven Churches of Revelation.
It was famed for its textile and bronze guilds, and it became an early Christian center which was praised for having faith, but rather warning against having moral compromise.
Now, the remains of columns, arches, and ancient ruins are found in the modern town which preserves the ancient identity of the city.
The legacy of Thyatira lives on due to the mention in the Bible and its role in the spread of early Christianity in Asia Minor.
