Meeting our driver in the lobby of your hotel and transfer to Kocabag Winery, one of the most established and respected wine producers in Cappadocia.
Located in the heart of a region that has been an important wine production center for thousands of years, Kocabag Wines combines traditional Anatolian winemaking knowledge with modern techniques.
Begin with a guided wine tasting experience, featuring four carefully selected wines, accompanied by a cheese platter. During the tasting, an expert host will explain the characteristics of each wine, the grape varieties, and the unique production methods used at the winery.
The wines are produced in a naturally rock-carved cellar, which maintains a constant temperature year-round (14-15°C), independent of external climate conditions. Grapes are processed using the gravity-flow method, allowing them to be transferred and fermented without pumps, minimizing stress on the grapes and preserving quality.
Following the tasting, enjoy a short vineyard visit, where you will learn about the characteristics of Cappadocia’s terroir, vineyard practices, and how the region’s climate and volcanic soils influence the wines. This walk through the vineyards offers a closer look at the origin of the grapes and completes the tasting experience.
After the visit, return to your hotel with a deeper appreciation of Cappadocia’s ancient landscapes and refined winemaking heritage.
