Anatolian Civilizations Museum
Anatolian Civilizations Museum is one of Turkey’s pivotal archaeological museums, tells the story of Anatolia from the Paleolithic Age through the Ottoman period.
The museum is also known as the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, it is sitting close to Ankara Castle, and occupies two Ottoman arcaded buildings, Mahmut Pasa Bedesteni and Kursunlu Han.
Among its collection are the artifacts excavated from Catalhoyuk, Alacahoyuk, Gordion, and Hattusa which include the Seated Woman of Catalhoyuk, Hittite sun discs, and Phrygian wooden furniture.
