Bursa Tophane

Bursa Tophane is a hillside nook that holds the evidence of the establishment period of the Ottoman state.

It houses the graves of the two brothers who started the Ottoman dynasty, namely Osman Ghazi and Orhan Ghazi.

Besides these tombs, the area is known to have remnants of the old city walls and a beautifully designed and well, known clock tower.

From the top of Tophane, one can see the city planning of Bursa, thereby, associating its being the first Ottoman capital with the retention of its cultural character.
