Edirne Grand Synagogue

Edirne Grand Synagogue, commonly called Kal Kadoş Agadol, is Türkiye's biggest synagogue and one of the largest in Europe.

Built in 1907, after multiple previous synagogues burned down, it was built by the flourishing Sephardic Jewish community in Edirne.

The synagogue is designed in Moorish Revival architecture, includes ornate arches, a large central dome and is colorful with its interior.

Edirne Grand Synagogue was restored during 2015 and is now used for cultural activities and for the religious services of the Jewish community.

The synagogue stands as a multicultural moment for Edirne, and a continuation Jewish heritage on Ottoman territory.
