Green Mosque

Green Mosque, constructed by Sultan Mehmed I in the beginning of the 15th century, is a milestone in early Ottoman architectural style.

The structure features a graceful layout and is adorned with green and blue tiles that have led to the building's name.

The work of art inside includes marble reliefs, calligraphy, and tile panels, all of which symbolize the cultural renaissance following the Ottoman Interregnum.

The mosque, located in the eastern part of Bursa, is the most remarkable element of a vast religious complex which evidently reflects the increased assurance of the early Ottoman state.
