Ishak Pasha Palace

Located near Dogubayazit, Ishak Pasha Palace is a remarkable blend of Ottoman, Persian, Seljuk, and Armenian architecture.

Colak Abdi Pasha built the palace in the 17th century and his son Ishak Pasha later completed it.

The complex consists of a harem, mosque, courtrooms, and even dungeons.

The palace provided a sweeping view of mount ararat and was used as a semi autonomous palace indicating local power.

It is richly decorated with intricate stone sculptures and has a distinct design which makes it one of the most beautiful palaces in Anadolia.
