Istanbul Modern

Istanbul Modern is a contemporary art museum located in Karakoy, near the Bosphorus.

Established in 2004, it was the first modern art museum in Turkey. Now it is moved to Galataport. The museum showcases works by Turkish and international artists, including painting, sculpture, photography, and video installations.

Its new building, opened in 2023, was designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano.

Istanbul Modern plays a central role in the city’s cultural scene, promoting visual arts through exhibitions, education programs, and public events.
