Kackar Mountains
Kackar Mountains is a towering mountain range in the Eastern Black Sea region of Turkey. Kackar Mountains have narrow peaks, glacial lakes, and complex alpine ecosystems. The area is full of rocky mountains, steep valleys and thick weather forests which are all a result of the regions moist climate.
With the steep valleys and the rocky mountains is the perfect place for an old pastoral culture to thrive and during the summer months, temporary settlements and grazing fields are established providing a great lifestyle for the people of the Eastern Black sea. Kackar Mountains show the geological and ecological diversity of the region.
