Karatay Madrasah

Karatay Madrasah is a stunning example of Seljuk architecture and tile art.

Built in 1251 by Emir Celaleddin Karatay in Konya, it served as a prominent center for Quranic studies.

The bold stone portal as well as the turquoise and cobalt mosaics of the domed hall captures one's gaze.

Today, its a part of the Tile Works Museum where exquisite ceramics from Ottoman and Seljuk times are displayed.

It is a masterwork of Karatay Madrasah where art and education were integrated with devotion to create metamorphosis in faith shaped in Anatolia.
