Kasimiye Madrasa
Kasimiye Madrasa in Mardin is a 15th-century Islamic school of Artuqid and Seljuk architecture blended with Mesopotamian stonework.
Its lovely courtyard along with its elegant arches and central pool represents life and knowledge and was built under Sultan Kasim.
Students once filled the halls with prayers and philosophy lessons, giving the building life.
The south view from the building provides vast plains which serves as a reminder of the once spiritually and intellectually deep place it enriched.
Now, it quietly preserves Mardin’s rich architectural and scholarly history.
