Perge Ancient City

Perge Ancient City, which is near Antalya, is another important ancient city of Pamphylia that was established in 1000 BC.

Under the Roman Empire, it expanded prominently and became one of the important centres for trade and culture. Ancient City of Perge was famed for its architecture, culture, and as the home of the mathematician Apollonius.

Its well-preserved ruins reveal urban planning and Roman engineering at its peak.
