Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and begin your exploration of Trabzon, the historical capital of the Black Sea region.

Our first visit is to Hagia Sophia Museum, originally built during the reign of Emperor Manuel Komnenos as a Byzantine church in the 13th century. Admire its beautifully preserved frescoes and stone carvings, and learn about its transformation from church to mosque, then museum, a reflection of the city’s rich and layered history.

We continue to the Ataturk Mansion, a graceful early 20th-century residence surrounded by lush gardens. Once hosting Mustafa Kemal Ataturk during his visits to Trabzon, it now serves as a museum showcasing his personal items and period furnishings.

Next, we explore Ortahisar, the historical core of Trabzon. This district, with its preserved city walls and stone citadel, has been home to Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman civilizations. Strolling through its cobblestone streets, you will see traditional houses, Ottoman fountains, and bridges such as Zagnos and Tabakhane, which reveal the city’s deep heritage.

The historical Alacahan and Bedesten Bazaar still preserve the spirit of Trabzon’s vibrant trade past, where local handicrafts and copperwork can be found

Our journey continues to Kızlar Monastery (Panagia Theoskepastos), built during the reign of Alexios III (1349–1390) on the slopes of Boztepe Mountain. The monastery, surrounded by high walls and overlooking the city, offers a peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of Trabzon.

We end the day with a relaxing tea break at Boztepe Hill, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the Black Sea and the city below.

At the end of the tour, we will drive back to your hotel, completing an unforgettable journey through Trabzon’s history, culture, and timeless charm.
