Byzantine Hippodrome / Sultanahmet Square: Here is the square where the chariot races were held in the Roman Empire times, and today you'll see the German Fountain and 3 obelisks which are located along the central spine of the ancient Hippodrome in Sultanahmet, just steps away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
Blue Mosque: Built in the early 1600s for Sultan Ahmet I, Blue Mosque is truly a magnificent masterpiece of architecture with amazingly delicate proportions for a building of such massive scale. The blue shade of the 27.000 pieces of Iznik quart tiles gives the mosque its popular name and 6 towering minarets give its uniquely recognizable structure. It’s a must-see point listed in the itinerary of every Istanbul tour.
Courtyard/Garden of Topkapi Palace (Topkapi Sarayi): Topkapi Palace courtyard will be visited, where the guide will give brief information about the house —from official ceremonies to private imperial life—of the emperors. There will be no visit to the Topkapi Palace Museum.
A lunch break will be given for the guests to enjoy their lunch according to their preferences and liking.
Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya, Santa Sofia): Here the ancient cultures of East and West speak to you with a clear voice. A great blend of Christian and Islamic influence with the beautiful interior of mosaics, impressive and significant history. Built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian, played a very important role in the Christian and Islamic World. After the Ottoman conquest, the bells, altar, iconoclastic, and sacrificial vessels were removed, and many of the mosaics were eventually plastered over to convert the church into a mosque, then a museum in 1934. In July 2020 it is converted into a mosque again.
Grand Bazaar: One of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world with over 4,000 shops. It was constructed in the 15th century and became the commercial hub of the trade between Asia & Europe.
Spice Market: The Spice Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı), built in the 17th century, is one of Istanbul’s oldest covered markets, famous for its vibrant stalls selling spices, dried fruits, teas, and Turkish delights.
