Museum of Mardin
The Museum of Mardin is located in a striking building of the Syriac Catholic Patriarchate which integrates art, history, and architecture.
It blends all three in stone. Within the museum, there are relics from the Assyrian, Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic periods, revealing the civilization mosaic that is Mesopotamia.
The collection contains ancient jewelry, some exquisite mosaics, coins, and manuscripts, which represent the great culture of the region.
Because of its peaceful courtyards and arched halls, the museum provides a wonderful and contemplative experience of Mardin’s diverse history and timeless essence.
