Nemrut Mountain
The tomb-sanctuary of King Antiochus I of the Commagene Kingdom is located atop Nemrut Mountain, which rises 2,134 meters in southeast Turkey.
It was constructed in the first century BCE and has enormous stone heads of eagles and gods that were originally a part of enormous seated statues that faced the stars.
The location combines Persian and Greek symbolism and is situated between East and West terraces.
