Cicek Passage
Cicek Passage, or Flower Passage, is a 19th-century arcade located on Istiklal Street in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul.
It was built in 1876 on the site previously held by the Naum Theater and was originally occupied by flower stalls belonging to Russian refugees, which is how it got its name. T
oday, it houses restaurants and meyhanes (traditional taverns) beneath a glass roof and sophisticated architecture. Cicek Passage is a witness to Europeanization and the dynamism of late 19th-century Istanbul.
