Golden Horn
Golden Horn is a natural harbor in Istanbul, separating the city’s historic peninsula from the modern neighborhoods to the north. It is located at one of the most crowded connection points of Istanbul.
Just a bit far away from Eminonu Square. Shaped like a horn and glowing with golden light at sunset, it has served as a safe anchorage since ancient times.
Golden Horn played a key role during the Byzantine and Ottoman periods for trade and defense.
Today, bridges like Galata Bridge cross the water, connecting districts filled with mosques, markets, and city life.
