Bosphorus Bridge
Bosphorus Bridge, also known as 15 July Martyrs Bridge, connects the European and Asian sides of Istanbul across the Bosphorus Strait.
Completed in 1973, it was the first bridge to span the strait and remains a key part of the city’s transportation network. The suspension bridge is over 1,500 meters long and carries a huge amount of vehicle traffic.
It symbolizes the city's unique position between two continents and has become a modern icon of Istanbul.
