Taksim Square
Taksim Square is a central public space in Beyoglu district of Istanbul, known as a symbol of modern Turkey. It is one of the largest and most lively attractions in Istanbul.
It marks the starting point of Istiklal Street and is home to the Republic Monument, which commemorates the founding of Turkish Republic in 1923.
